{"id":494,"date":"2015-11-06T23:11:49","date_gmt":"2015-11-06T23:11:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/int03.co.uk\/blog\/?p=494"},"modified":"2019-02-11T21:44:16","modified_gmt":"2019-02-11T21:44:16","slug":"making-the-rocket-control-panel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/int03.co.uk\/blog\/2015\/11\/06\/making-the-rocket-control-panel\/","title":{"rendered":"Making the Rocket Control Panel&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Heh heh, this is going to be the control panel for the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/int03.co.uk\/blog\/2015\/11\/05\/compressed-air-rocket-launcher\/\">rocket<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/int03.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/rocket_panel1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-495\" src=\"http:\/\/int03.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/rocket_panel1.jpg\" alt=\"rocket_panel1\" width=\"800\" height=\"507\" srcset=\"https:\/\/int03.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/rocket_panel1.jpg 800w, https:\/\/int03.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/rocket_panel1-300x190.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I wanted this thing to look the part, so I&#8217;ve got a <a href=\"http:\/\/cpc.farnell.com\/arcolectric\/c3900baaaa\/toggle-switch\/dp\/SW04197\" target=\"_blank\">toggle switch<\/a> with a <a href=\"http:\/\/cpc.farnell.com\/arcolectric\/r171000aaa\/guard-toggle-switch\/dp\/SW04201\" target=\"_blank\">flip up cover<\/a> to &#8220;arm&#8221; it, and the mandatory <a href=\"http:\/\/www.maplin.co.uk\/p\/large-red-push-button-rk82d\" target=\"_blank\">big red button<\/a> to fire. The toggle switch at the bottom left will be for the pump, and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.maplin.co.uk\/p\/spst-metal-body-cj98g\" target=\"_blank\">key switch<\/a> at top left will limit the maximum pressure. The big black hole in the middle is for a display, yet to be fitted.<\/p>\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/cpc.farnell.com\/camdenboss\/bim1005-blk-pg\/sloped-front-case-black-96x161x57mm\/dp\/EN55101\" target=\"_blank\">case <\/a>is made of black ABS with&nbsp;a brushed aluminium front panel.
