Fortunately the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wacaco.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Minipresso <\/a>was nearby as a backup.<\/p>\n<p>It turned out that the SD card in my machine was\u00a0corrupted.\u00a0I pulled the SD card from the Pi and inserted it into a PC running Ubuntu Linux. It\u00a0appears as several partitions, and the main file-system partition showed up at: \/dev\/mmcblk0p2<\/p>\n<p>To fix the file-system, I used fsck as follows:<\/p>\n<pre>sudo fsck \/dev\/mmcblk0p2<\/pre>\n<p>I had to do that twice, then ejected it and put\u00a0it back in the Pi. The Pi did another fsck and fixed some issues, and fortunately it rebooted OK.
